A Changing Bigger

I for one have been a main advocate against Bigger being a sympathetic character. However, my view has changed. . Although, we are not at the end of the book I now believe that his character will change too. What do you guys think? Can Bigger become a dynamic Character?

  1. I have no more faith left in Bigger. He could have turned things around, but he crossed the line with killing Bessie. Everytime he feels threatened, he relies on violence to clear his path.

  4. I agree with Chanel, Bigger still has a last resort. He could always learn to love. How? Not sure. That is something Bigger must uncover. I really doubt that Richard Wright created this story from gathering pieces of life events to make Bigger evil. More than anything he should have created it with an attempt to sympathize with Bigger.
