Hello guys,
I just wanted to share to with you guys one of my favorite characters from The Scarlet Letter.... Chillingworth... just kidding.
Anyways, I think it's pretty obvious, but aside from Hester, it is little Pearl! To me, she is so adorable and I just grew sympathy for her throughout the book. I honestly put myself in her place and wonder what life would be like in that time period. Also, she brings back memories when I was seven, for example, hanging out with my mom.
Who is your favorite character and why? Thank you!

I agree with you Sonia. The description of little Pearl just make the character so vivid and make me want a sister just like Pearl.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite character is also Pearl because she is fearless and has more dignity than an average person, despite how young she is.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you my favorite character is Pearl. I find that she is very upfront and fearless.
ReplyDeleteI love Pearl! I think it's nice how she's like basically a Disney princess because of how close she is with nature.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite character is Hester. In the story she deals with so much, she eventually comes out a stronger person than she was before. I think she is also a great role model for Pearl teaching the little girl she can get over any obstacles. I love how she is portrayed as a character we see Hester in so many different perspectives we can actually grasp who she is as a person unlike Dimmsdale and Pearl.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing guys!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite character is Hester and that is so, because throughout the book she continues to sustain herself and did not allow her society to influence how she live.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite character is Pearl because she isn't afraid to say what's on her mind. She is fearless and upfront with everyone
ReplyDeleteTo be perfectly honest, I didn't like any of the characters in the book at all. If I was forced to choose one, then it would have to be Pearl. Pearl, while she may be fearless, is also a little girl who hasn't really been influenced by the world. This allows for her to be able to believe in whatever she wants without anyone telling that she is wrong.
ReplyDeleteI didn't develop any strong connections with the characters, but I can relate to Pearl in the ways of relying and family and not allowing others to bad mouth one's family. My life has been centered around my family which is the way I prefer it, so to see someone in the novel that carried out the same lifestyle was pleasing.
