I believe it to be ture. Take jeans for example, they used to be unique based on the makers characteristics. Now they all look the same, no individuallity, no creativity, just uniform jeans exactly the same.
ReplyDeleteI agree to an extent. Even though everyone was chemicaly produced to be the same, there are still people such as Bernard Marx. He, weather he wants it or not, is an individual compared to the rest of his society. He thinks differently and behaves unlike an Alpha-Plus should. This can be a factor that gives him individuality. Yet, the rest of society has no identity, like the statement presented above. Even during the peoples spare time they do activities that everyone else does. There is not an outstanding presence of individuality among the majority of society. "every one belongs to every one else."(pg43)
