  1. The Grapes Of Wrath Chapter#7:
    Goodmorning to everyone,
I know I have not been participating as much and I apologize for that, but in chapter 7 we find out that Oklahomans have been robbed from salesmen by buying overpriced vehicles to get to their designated location, California. Steinbeck states, " Salesmen, neat, deadly, small intent eyes watching for weaknesses. Watch for the woman's face. If the woman likes it we can screw the old man." In this quote and throughout the chapter we see how dehumanized the car salesmen are just so they can make profit by selling crappy cars to the people, which I find unfair because not only are they escaping for a better life, but they have been kicked off their land and their homes, and to come to a place where a salesmen is waiting to rip them off for money, I find it spiteful. Although, my question is, Why did Steinbeck include this chapter? or What is the point of this chapter? I am open to any opinions or comments anyone has for this chapter. Thankyou!:)
