So this post I guess is for anyone who is writing their research paper on John Steinbeck, East of Eden is considered Steinbeck's greatest work. Even Steinbeck himself has called it the true master piece. So if you're having trouble identifying some of his characteristic check the book out.
Thanks, Julio. I actually haven't considered putting East of Eden in my essay since I haven't read it, but I'll surely take a closer look to any literary criticism I come across from the book in the future. I've been focusing heavily on The Grapes of Wrath since there is so many articles I've come across from it, and his writing style really stood out to me compared to his other pieces like Of Mice and Men or The Pearl.
