Hey guys ! I was wondering if any of you had trouble writing the poem ? It was hard for me to begin it but I finally got it in the end. I wanted to know if I'm the only one who had this problem.
I agree with you, I also had trouble with the poem. What really got to me, was haveing to choose one of the twelve topics given because I had no clue about what to write about. Also, what slowed me down was having to deal with the rhyme scheme because there were words I wanted to use that I couldn't find a rhyming word to go with it that would fit the poem. What were your troubles?
I also had trouble thinking of how to phrase everything. Having to follow a specific rhyme scheme and structure made it a lot more difficult as well. I did it wrong initially, but now I know what I need to fix and how it's meant to be written 😁
Same as you guys, choosing a topic to talk about was difficult along with having to follow the rhyme scheme... I was stuck for a while with writers block. Eventually I got it 😅
I also was struck with a bit of writers block but once I started writing it kind of just started flowing, but now im unsure if it's considered a petrarchan sonnet or not
To rant a bit, writing a sonnet about love when you only have a vague description of what it's like is a nightmare. I struggled with a topic for 3 hours.
Yeah I had problems with it at first but I found that it was easier for me to find the rhyming words first and it makes it easier for me to create the rest of the poem
My only problem was I knew what I wanted to write about, I just couldn't get my words to follow the rhyme scheme. I had to rearrange it several times to fit the format correctly.

ReplyDeleteYes, I agree with you. I also wrote another poem before the one I read because i did not like the poem i had written first.

DeleteYeah ! It was the same with me . It may have been the rhyme scheme that through me off.
DeleteComing up with a topic for the poem was difficult. I agree with Briana about the rhyme scheme. I could hardly make the c rhymes.

ReplyDeleteYeah I agree with Alexandra and Clarissa, once I got past all the struggles, writing the poem became very simple.
