Hey guys as you can see I'm barely replying to your guys' post and trying to post. I need your guys' opinion on something very important.. I recently started working, and I love by job, and I love school as well. but here's the twist to things; I did ask for a part time job and the schedule is very flexible and I know I can do both school and work(which I have been doing for almost a month now) but I'm feeling like I get out late from work, and have to be up this late doing homework. I mean it's fine with me because theres times where I get out of work and I'm not tired, so id stay up doing homework, but theres days where I am super sleepy and have to still sustain myself to be up.. what do you guys think about this? Should I consider what many say; long days and nights but it's all worth it at the end? or should I completely stop working and only focus on school? opinions?

Hey Nathalie! I personally feel like if you really need the money go for it: work and school! Just make sure that you organize your time to the fullest extent. For example, during your lunch break study flashcards from your notes or something! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeletethanks Sonia!
ReplyDeleteI'm in the situation like you. I feel the same as you when I got out of work. As long as you think you can do it you will make it, believe in yourself!
ReplyDeleteNathalie, something I usually go by and tell my friends who are eager to have jobs is, that working and making money is cool and all and you can by what you live and not have to rely on parents but working isn't something you can put on your college resume and your scholarship applications, but doing your homework with quality and getting good grades, being able to rest and wake up with energy to go to school, going and being apart of a club is. In my opinion you should maybe look for a weekend and friday job not everyday. Well this is my opinion and I think it's a good idea. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteWant not live, sorry!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Sonia, you should only work if you really need the money. If you do decide to do both, then I would recommend that you create a schedule, calendar, or routine that you can follow. That way you can efficiently plan out what you need to do and not stress too much about getting your homework done. However, you also have to take into consideration that procrastination can also be detrimental.
ReplyDeleteI believe it all has to do with what your priorities are. If you're in some kind of financial problem than for sure work as stability comes before everything, but if it's just because you want money than it comes down to what's more important, education or money? No one can answer that but yourself, but one thing I can say is working hard right now will get you far more money in the future than what you get right now.
ReplyDeleteHonestly Nathalie, it's all up to you and what you think about it. If you believe you can do your job and keep up with school, I'd say do just that. However, if you can't keep up with both, It'll probably be best to decide which area you think is more important and devote your time to that area, wether it's school or it's your job. Thank you for sharing, and personally I think that what you've been doing so far with keeping up with school and your job is respectful and hardworking.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with Jeffery. You should stay working if you have financial problems. If you don't have problems with money, then I would focus more on school if I were you.
ReplyDeleteI say that you should try to use time at school like lunch, study halls, or any other free times you get to do homework. Honestly, if it's not a definite priority to work you should prioritize you homework and work your schedule around that.
ReplyDeleteHi Nathalie! I completely understand how you feel! Ever since I started working, I feel as if I have much less time to do homeworks and I find to be doing it during late nights. As much as i'd like to quit I know I can't because in the end all the hard work will pay off! I hope this helps you in any way Nathalie.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Sonia and Kevin. Don’t put all the pressure and stress on yourself if you don’t need it.
