Question Regarding Grapes of Wrath

If John Steinbeck were alive today, what group of people would he target and bring awareness to? I believe either the refugees and immigrants, but there has to be other groups.

  1. I agree with you and believe that Steinbeck would give his attention to minorities and try to impact others through his writing.

  2. I agree with Sara. I think his main focus would be on immigrants and minority groups.

  3. I feel like he'd target racist groups of people that bash on immigrants for wishing a better life. I feel like he would target them, because not only he wants the best for immigrants, but also he tries to enforce, through the Grapes of Wrath, the theme of family within the entire world!

  4. I believe Steinbeck is targeting immigrants because people don't give them as much respect as they should.

  5. Definitely the people who need the most financial help.

  6. Hopefully someone in our generation addresses these issues in a novel that can hopefully have much as an impact as Grapes of Wrath did.

  7. If John Steinbeck are still living today, he will represent the immigrants or the Muslim community.
